How to use?

Add page numbers to any PDF with clear placement controls — choose a grid position for single-page layouts or facing spreads with outer-margin alternation, then pick formats like plain numbers or Page N of M.

Processing runs in your browser with pdf-lib: upload the file, set margin and typography, and download a numbered copy without sending the PDF through a separate numbering service.

  1. Open Add page numbers from the toolkit and upload your PDF.
  2. Choose Single page or Facing pages (book-style outer left/right alternation).
  3. Tap the position grid to pick the vertical band and, in single mode, the horizontal alignment.
  4. Choose margin preset, which pages to number, and the first displayed number.
  5. Pick a text format and adjust font size, color, and bold if needed.
  6. Click Add page numbers and save the downloaded PDF.
